Description
507th Parachute Infantry RegimentThe design is a caricature of a spider descending from the sky, holding a lighting bolt and a bomb with a lit fuse. The special boots, originally designed by the Corcoran Boot Company, allude to the pride paratroopers take in their special footwear. Interestingly, originally an element of the of the 1st Airborne Infantry Brigrade, the unit was assigned to the 82nd and later to the 17th Airborne Division. I believe that the 1/507 is assigned to the
Airborne Training School, Ft. Benning.
This fine 507th wall plaque has great detail, every stitch is visable, the plaque has excellent color contrasts, and it has an outstanding finish. The 507th wall plaque is also finished on the back and has a metal hanger and two (2) rubber bumper feet for proper wall mounting.
This 507th award/recognition wall plaque weighs about two pounds, it is about 3/4 inch thick, and the exact size may be seen and determined in the third photograph. The background scale is in one (1) inch squares.
