79 80 81 82 83 84 85 Buick Riviera optional chrome steel wheels GN style set OEM

This listing is for a set of 4 original GM factory optional chrome steel wheels for the 1979-1985 Buick Riviera.   The centers are the same stamping as the chrome Grand National wheels, but these came out first and have the offset for front wheel drive for the Riviera.    There's a pic of a black T-type Riviera with these wheels on it with the inserts painted black like a GN, looks really good but originally they had the silver painted inserts as seen here.    They are 15x6" size.    The chrome is very bright and shiny yet, I only noticed one blister spot on the chrome faces, shown close-up in pic #3, but the bead lips have some pitting on them, mostly on 2 of the wheels.  I don't feel like they're structurally weak but you'll likely want to smooth them out/fill them and use bead sealer to assure a good tire seal.   I suppose you could do some welding on them if you were really concerned about the pits, they are steel afterall, although it might be tough to avoid damaging the chrome if you tried it on the inside of the outer lips.     You're buying these as-is, with the pitting issues spelled out up front.   Keep in mind the closeups are by far the worst areas.     3 out of 4 center caps have scratches on the faces and one has a crack (still mounts securely and works, but the center caps aren't all that hard to find, they're usually available elsewhere on eBay)  These wheels almost never come up for sale, they were pretty rare to begin with.
