B25 Mitchell Control Yoke wheel Original WW2
A fantastic original North American Aviation B-25 Mitchell Bomber Control Yoke.
The B25 was introduced as a medium range bomber, and was used by many militaries during the war and into the post war years.
Produced America for the USAAF it was also used by allied nations of the commonwealth RCAF (Royal Canadian Air Force) RAF RNZAF RAAF and by the Soviets as part of the Lend Lease.
Many different variants were made of the B25 but the yoke seems to be the same through out, so this would be a great example to use for display or for restoration of any project.
I can only imagine what ops / missions this went on through the war and I am sure would have stories to tell if it could talk, but sadly it will be impossible to know what kite this came from.
I believe this came from somewhere here in Canada so it might have been used by the R.C.A.F. R.A.F. or maybe USAF but that is only a guess on my part.
Condition is good, there is some wear, some cracking, and it does appear one of the buttons is missing.  There are some screws loose, as they rattle on the inside.  I have not taken the back panel off, so I have no idea what is in the inside.
Sold as is, would need to be serviced and inspected for flight use.
