Description

Commemorative cross of the Diamond Jubilee of 1908, 60 years of Franz Joseph I, who governed from 1848-1908
Gilded bronze cross with a laurel wreath between rays in the center, there is a medallion with the portrait of Emperor Franz Joseph I in a field-marshal uniform, who is looking to the right.
On the left there is the inscription which is hard to make out "FRANC. IOS. IOS. I" The reverse side shows the years of his term, 1848-1908.
The anniversary was celebrated on September 29, 1908 and the Cross appeared on December 2 of the same year. This commemorative medallion was given to employees of the Emperor’s State Service as well as State officials.
Size: 1.42" x 1.42" ( 36 x 36 mm).
