The PRO-SERIES UHF j-pole is designed with a weatherproof type-N barrel connector. The connector itself is brazed to the bracket with

Except for the feed-line connector, all connections are brazed with high-tensile-strength silver alloy.
The vertical element is threaded into the center insulator bushing, providing a weatherproof seal.
The tip is lathe turned, inserted into, and then brazed into the center socket.
The antenna has
