    Description

    This is an old Italian Medal of Merit complete with the original case and attached ribbon. The exact age is unknown but the condition is very good. The case measures 3 by 5 inches and snaps shut.  The medal measures 1 1/2 by 1 1/2 inches.  It appears to be a bronze material. One side shows a star while the reverse shows a large R with the letter I running the center.  At the bottom there is a floral design with a sword in the center. The cross piece shows  the words "MERITO DI GVERRA." There seems to be no damage to the medal. The ribbon is intact but some of the sewing has come undone.  The ribbon is faded and edge worn. The case is sturdy but soiled and rubbed.  Please study the photos carefully to see what is being offered.
