    Description

WW1 Bringback Grouping German WW1 Tunic Belt Hook & French Buttons Artillery. Very interesting little set of war pins brought back by a Canadian CEF Veteran. These were found in Hyde Park New York area w a bunch of canadian WW1 Medals, Pins etc. All appearing to be from one canadian soldier who was WIA. Sadly i didnt get a name and the items to the canadian soldier the seller wanted more then they were worth. These were just sitting next to them in a little crystal bowl so i decided to grab them up for cheap! Interesting to see items clearly brought back by a canadian veteran that some how ended up in NY. As for the lot its small just an early war 1914-1915 Imperial German Tunic Belt Hook to keep the belt up. This is an early war example made from a nickel alloy material with the large crown it is one piece unlike the other late war examples and bears the maker mark G.B.M. This piece is very hefty! Also included are three french artillery button different patterns from different periods. 2x coat and 1x cuff. Only the small brass button is maker marked paris and the name. Nothing crazy rare but i always love to find these little WW1 groupings out of the woodwork i was going to split the pieces up but deicded to keep them together! Overall a great little bring back group. Most likely picked off the dead or traded for by the soldier. Neat history now well over 100 years old.
