    Description

    This is a fine World War I Imperial German 5-place ribbon bar that is in excellent condition. The bar consists of ½ inch wide ribbons for the 1914 Iron Cross 2nd Class, the 1939 War Merit Cross with swords for combatant with crossed swords device, the 1914 Mecklenberg War Cross 2nd Class, the 1914-1918 Hindenburg Honor Cross with swords for combatant with crossed swords device, and the 1939-45 Civilian Long Service Medal with device. The reverse is faced with dark green wool that is meticulously hand sewn to the bar. The pin and catch assemblies are both present and are fully functional. The bar measures 3 inches in length with all ribbons clean and undamaged.
