    for the Kingdom of Prussia
    The sewn-on style “Kokarden” worn on the World War I field caps. As with other Imperial German headdress the Reich cockade was worn above the state cockade.
    Following the Franco-Prussian War, the armies of the various German states continued to wear the Kokarden that denoted the respective states.
